    I decided to trust the Discovery Kids name brand because there are some decent kids' shows on their channel. Big mistake. When I got this item, my daughter was very excited and we opened it right away. I hand washed each of the items in warm, soapy water as instructed in the directions. Before the silicone spatula even made it to the mixing bowl. the top fell off the handle.

    Then, we gathered all the ingredients on the ingredient list, or so we thought. The ingredient list leaves out milk and the measurement of how much milk to use. In the direction area, Step four reads: "Stir in flour mixture and milk separately in 3 parts, starting and ending with flour" In the entire recipe that is the only mention of milk (which I did not have anyway).

    Thinking that it was just a typo, I looked at the recipe for sugar cookies on the other side of the page. There, butter is missing from the ingredient list, but is called for in the first step of the directions.

    Since I didn't have the receipt or packaging anymore, I called the customer service line for the distributor at the bottom of the page in tiny print, and all they gave me was a hassle. They said they would send out a new spatula, but that I could not get a refund since I didn't have my receipt any more. With regard to the directions, I was asked by a very haughty 'supervisor' "how hard can it be to tweak a sugar cookie recipe?"

    Perhaps needless to say,DiscoveryKids and MerchSource, LLC, will never see a penny from me again.

    I bought this set for my daughter's birthday, despite the very bad review (she had her heart set on it after seeing it at a local store). With Prime it arrived in 2 days as promised. We bake a lot together so this has everything needed for her to bake cupcakes and other pastries (and even ice them!).The apron/hat fit her well, she just turned nine. The apron is perfect length but if she was any bigger, the chef's hat would be too small (she's 60 lbs). Everything else was in good shape, but I didn't read the recipes as we don't intend to use them. Overall she's very happy!
