92: Teaching Kids to Learn and Have Fun Outside of School

Teaching kids that learning happens all the time, and everywhere!

We have so many places where we can learn and have fun at the same time. In this episode, Nick and Angela talk about all the cool things they learn outside of school!

Resource of the Week:

Check out this week's resource of the week, If a Chicken Stayed for Supper, a cute kids book. Your kids will love this story about foxes going hunting for chicken to eat and then forming a bond with a chicken who helped them when one of the foxes got lost. My kids love it!

Five Minutes With Dad is a parenting podcast that stars seven-year-old Pavlos, four-year-old Angela, and their thirty-seven-year-old dad Nick Pavlidis. This is the podcast where you get to listen in on a little father-son and daddy-daughter time and learn about great resources to connect with your kids.

91: Teaching Kids How to Lead by Example

How to teach them that their actions matter and can influence others.

Kids are constantly watching their parents and other kids. When they do something great that another kid emulates, it's a great opportunity to reinforce that behavior and teach them about leading by example.

Resource of the Week:

Check out this week's resource of the week, the Klutz Window Art Craft Kit. Your kids will love how easy it is to use nice thick puffy paint to trace and fill in predesigned pictures or create their own. Let them dry and they stick on windows without damaging them. My kids love it!

90: How to Teach Your Kids About Gratitude

Because gratitude is a surefire cure for the grumpies!

One of the best traits you can teach your kids is to be gracious, to be thankful. In this episode of Five Minutes With Dad, we celebrate Independence Day in America and talk about how to form an attitude of gratitude.

Resource of the Week:

Check out this week's resource of the week, another parenting website, www.GetConnectDad.com where Julian Caldwell talks about 52 traits he is working on with his kids. It's so similar to what we are doing here and I just love finding and sharing other sites like Julian's. The more people we have working together to make families stronger, the better the world will be for the people who matter most! If you want to see all 52 traits, head directly to www.FiveMinutesWithDad.com/GetConnectDad.
