84: Teaching kids the power of word choice and tone

The words we choose and the tone we use can make a big difference

In this episode, my kids and I talk about how your word choice and tone can make the difference between making someone feel sad, mad, or happy.

We use examples from our day and have a ton of fun learning how to be wise with our words.

  1. What a wonderful idea for teaching kids! I will definitely keep this podcast in mind, as some kids come across as disrespectful when they speak to adults but, really, they’ve neither learned nor been taught about tone.

    • Thank you so much, Diedra! We love recording shows with each other and the kids have lots of fun leading conversations about fun and important topics like word choice and tone! The more we talk about these things in the open, the more we can reinforce the lessons that will help make them happy, well-adjusted kids who grow up to be happy well-adjusted adults! 🙂
